I really hate doing this.... but I have this friend who has issues with confrontations, so apparently I'm forced to respond blogger style.

Friday night I didn't want to go out...

Big deal right?

It's amazing to me... the more you try to be selfLESS, the more selfISH people are. Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm trying to be more of a person than I am....

This past weekend I went to the lovely little metropolis of Boston, MA. My escorts for the trip were none other than Mr. Joseph John Perry and Mr. John Edward Yannotti. Shocking I know.

We took the bus cause we were lame and no one wanted to drive + we didn't know how the weather would be + we are lazy. After a crowded journey, we arrived in beantown around dinner time. We checked into the hotel room, and I was pleased to find that my connections helped out and we got a really big room. We went out to dinner at Rock Bottom Brewery then went back to the hotel to get ready and drink before going out. The traveling, beer at dinner, and lack of sleep got to Johnny, so he passed out with a "fever" for awhile. Joe and I got into some deep conversations, philosophy, etc. Which was nice cause I never get to talk about anything meaningful sometimes it feels like. We woke Johnny up and decided to stay mellow and just go to the piano bar in the lobby of the hotel cause they have open mic and a live pianist every night. We ended up having a really great time there and listen to some amazing talent, no joke.

Saturday we got up relatively early and headed out to do some major shopping. I took the boys to downtown crossing and spent some mulla at H&M before heading over the Quincy Market for some eats. I got a really horrible burrito and swore I could never find anything decent to eat there- I refuse to force myself to eat there out of convenience anymore. After lunch we went to Newbury Street and hit up Virgin, Urban Outfitters and Puma for Joey. Making a side trip to Condomworld for a laugh. My friend Becca from the Vineyard came up to meet us for Sat and Sun nights, so we met up with her at the hotel before heading out for an early dinner at Joe's American. We went back to the hotel to drink a bit and then went downtown. I wanted to go to Clark's, cause Johanna and I had a great time there, but there was a line and we decided to go to Kitty O'Shea's instead. I ran into some random girls I knew from the Vineyard and we got stared at by some girls that were on drugs, don't ask. We moved on to the Black Rose, another Irish bar, where there was a live band and the atmosphere was energetic. Some guy almost got in a fight with the singer of the band, and people were dancing, it was fun. We walked home cause we couldn't get a cab and made a new friend, Petey, who came upstairs with us. Unfortunately he melted before the night was over.

Sunday we decided to do some sightseeing and went to the New England Aquarium. I really love going there and will never get sick of it. It is really relaxing. I think everyone liked it, but I'm not that concerned cause I had enough fun for the 4 of us. We went to an Irish pub for lunch and ended up taking lots of pictures and being all artsy. After lunch we went up to Harvard Square to wander. I'd never been there, so I didn't really know where to take them, and we just ended up spending a lot of time in a bookstore there. It was a relaxed Sunday, very pleasant. For dinner we went up to the North End (Boston's "Little Italy") to my favorite restaurant there called Piccola Venencia. After the pasta rendered us motionless, we walked through the Holocaust memorial and back up towards the hotel. Becca read our tarrot cards and we just hung out and watched TV. According to my tarrot reading, I am going to go through some hard times and I have to be strong. At least I have something to look forward to!!!

Monday we got up at the ass crack of dawn to get back to Geneva. The bus was equally as crowded as the previous trip, but this time we got to listen to a big guy snoring, it was great. Remind me to risk it and drive out next time!!! I just sat and listened to my headphones and tried to clear my head before I got back to NY. I think it just made things worse, cause I couldn't answer any of the questions I had for myself. I guess I needed to have time to myself like that though, it put things into perspective a little more for me. Even if no conclusions we drawn, at least I know the questions and can hopefully start finding the answers...
