Updates people

Wednesday night Johnny and I went to dinner at Parker's. Then watched Love Actually while we waited for Joe to get his ass out of work so we could go out. We went out and met up with Mike John and his friend Teddy Smith. Literally we were the only 5 in the bar, other than Billy bartending. There were a few people that came in and out, but for the most part it was the 5 of us. It was actually a lot more fun than it sounds. We had free reign over the music choices on the juke box and we never had to wait for a drink!

Thursday we went out again. Shocking, I know. This time there were more people in the bar, but not by a lot. Jay Fitz joined our group and a few others. I think Holly is my favorite bartender there. She's definitely the coolest, and the hottest, lol. After the bar we made our traditional drunk rounds at Wegmans and headed home.

Friday I took the night off and Jill, Danielle, Angie and I got together at Ang's mom's house to watch The Notebook (my 3rd time in 2 weeks, lol. I found out that Kool-aid lemon-aid is amazing.

Saturday I worked all day, then went to Joe's to drink later on. We went downtown kinda early cause Johnny wanted us to meet him, then the jerk-off didn't show up for another hour, lol. Umm, I am trying to think of the highlights... there are so many, but I'll censor them for the blog. The bar ran out of red bull (how dare they). Johnny made a home of the floor in the girls bathroom. Numerous co-ed bathroom breaks were taken. We did dirty girl scout shots at Side Show. I tried to start fights with William Smith girls walking by. We met up with Lisa back at Gag's. Made more interesting bathroom trips (names have been with held to protect the innocent). A close friend called by the wrong name (TWICE). I think that's all I want to mention. Oh yeah and I lost a button on my coat. If you find it- call me.

I haven't had a day off in 9 days....

it's beginning to take it's toll on me physically and emotionally....

I can't wait for Thursday night - so I can go to bed knowing I don't have to get up at all on Friday if I don't want to :)

I seriously am ashamed of some of the people in my town today. Small towns really do harbor small minds. Thank God I know my friends are the strongest most resiliant people I know.

So Monday night, after the Bachelorette, Stacey helped me dye my hair. Nothing drastic, just a dark auburn color that I thought would show up in my hair. Since my damn hair is is to dark it's barely noticable, only in the places where I use to have highlights. A waste of $6.54, I know.

Tuesday night we made our weekly pilgramage to RJs. Mike John joined our crew this week as we invaded "the city". We met Erica and Andrew at their apartment and tried to go to a straight club/bar first, but since it was a Tuesday night, it was slim pickin's. We ended up just going to RJs and staying there for the night. I'll try and sum it up breifly. Lisa was wasted and I spent most of the night stumbling around with her. I got felt up by a gay guy in the mens' bathroom. I sang "I Touch Myself" by the DiVinyls (don't worry I sang Baby Got Back too). We ran into a former Wegmans employee and found out she is gay. Had an interesting car ride home (Joe has the pics to prove it). Vowed never to drink red bull vodkas... again. Happily got to bed around 4am :)

Last night we tried to watch Garden State, but Johnny was snoring so we watched random TV instead and made a fort, lol. Oh yeah, we also got 15 donut holes at Dunkin Donuts.... who knew you could get just 15?

I don't have a day off til next Friday! AHHHH! "But that don't stop me from gettin' busy" - (name the lyric!)

Feb 7, 2005

I haven't posted anything substantial in almost a month, so I suppose for those of you who actually read my blog (Erica and Joe... and that's about it, lol) I will update briefly.

I started my job at the Ramada Inn here in G-town at the end of January. I am the Assistant Executive Housekeeper there and I basically just inspect rooms and give people stuff to clean. I did the same thing on Martha's Vineyard so it's been easy to adjust to. So far no major stresses... but I should probably knock on wood now.

Lately my life has basically consisted of going to work, working out, and going out drinking. It's basically what I expected from Geneva, but I'm hoping it's not a pattern forever. I mean I love going out with my friends, but I think drinking all the time is just going to cloud my senses and I don't want to go down that path. I guess I go out drinking out of boredom really. That and it's the only place where you can go hang out and be social. If we don't go to the bars there isn't much else to do but get a movie, or go out to eat, and that isn't very exciting....

This past Tuesday we (Lisa, Joe, Johnny and I) went to RJs for lesbian karaoke again, lol. Of course I sang Baby Got Back. I had a good time, but got all freaked out on the way home by the random dense fog and Lisa speeding through it, lol.

Thursday was an awesome night too. Joe and I went to Gallagher's and met up with Angie, Stacey, etc. I've gotten use to drinking Red Bull and vodkas since they are so cheap at RJ, but it's a habit I need to stop cause I drink them too fast and get drunk too quickly. We met up with Lisa and Megan Kenny, then Johnny showed up when he was suppose to be working, but got out of it to come hang out with us, lol. After the bars, Joe and I climbed up some fire escape and started a snowball fight with Johnny and Mike John who were down below... that ended quickly when the cops came through the parking lot! Johnny, Joe and I headed to Lisa's after the snowballing and hung out at her apartment, which was awesome. We listened to music and bonded, it was a great night... even though I got to bed at 4:30 and up for work at 7:30 on Friday, yuck

Saturday Joe and I went to Gallagher's (I sense a pattern...). I hadn't learned my lession about the Red Bull and vodka yet, so I drank those and that's when it gets cloudy. I know we went to Parker's so Angie could scope out some guy and we ran into Jon Millis, Jeff Roberts, and Jeff Morrow. Apparently I insisted on them buying shots and then we went back to Gallagher's. Angie was drinking water by then, and I think Jill was too, lol. Jeff and Jon showed up and Jill and I played darts with them. I'm pretty sure we were kicked out of the bar shortly there after... it was another bed at 4:30am nights, so I enjoyed sleeping in on Sunday...

On a sober note, Joe, Johnny and I saw Sideways recently. I can see why there is all the Oscar buzz, it's a really well written movie and the charater development is great, but it lacked spark to me. I don't think I formed that exact opinion until I saw another Oscar worthy film - Million Dollar Baby on Friday with Joe. I loved that movie when I thought I was going to dislike it. I had heard there was a twist in the plot and that made me interested, but I also don't like Clint Eastwood and I don't like boxing so I thought I would be bored. I strongly encourage anyone who feels that way to go see the film regardless, it was great.
